​Faraway Lapland Adventures

​1. General information

​‘Faraway Lapland Adventures’ is operated by ‘Lakita AB’, a company registered in Sweden.

​2. Scope

​These general terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between ‘Faraway Lapland Adventures’, operated by ‘Lakita AB’, and its clients for the sale of tourist packages in Swedish Lapland. 

​3. Stay description

​The stay includes: 
- 5 nights / 6 days
- Full board (excluding alcoholic beverages) from diner day 1 to breakfast day 6  
- Activities: dog sledding, snowmobiling, hiking, ice fishing, hiking, etc. 
- Airport transfers from/to the nearest airport (Vilhelmina or Hemavan-Tarnaby)  
- Supervision by a local English and French speaking team 

​4. Accommodation

​Clients are accommodated in a comfortable room located on the upper floor of a barn. This lodging is not connected to running water. A private bathroom with bath and toilet is reserved for guests in the main house. 

​5. Booking and payment

​- A deposit of 30% is required to confirm any booking. 
- The balance is due no later than 30 days before arrival. 
- For bookings made within 30 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking. 
- Payments must be made by bank transfer to the IBAN provided below, in Swedish kronor (SEK).

It is the client's responsibility to ensure that the amount received in SEK matches the total amount due. 
If payment is made in another currency, the client must verify the exchange rate and any conversion fees charged by their bank to avoid discrepancies. 

​6. Cancellation

​- Up to 60 days before arrival: full refund. 
- From 59 to 30 days: the deposit is retained. 
- Less than 30 days: no refund. 
- No refund for early departure or non-participation in activities initiated by the client. 

​7. Packages and services

​The stays offered by Faraway Lapland Adventures are composed of two separate packages: (i) the package including accommodation and transportation, and (ii) the package including activities. Each package is offered as part of the reserved stay and may also be booked individually. Combining both packages allows guests to enjoy the full experience as presented on our website. 

​8. Activities and Weather Conditions

​Activities are subject to weather and safety conditions. They may be modified, replaced, or cancelled at any time. No activity is guaranteed. No refunds will be provided for activities changes due to weather or safety concerns. 

9. Equipment and responsibility

​All activity equipment provided is under the client's responsibility for the duration of the activity. Any damage or loss due to misuse or negligence will result in charges covering repair or replacement costs. 

10. Health and physical fitness

​Some activities require good physical fitness. The client must inform Faraway Lapland Adventures of any pre-existing medical condition that may affect their participation in the activities. Faraway Lapland Adventures reserves the right to refuse access to an activity if the safety of the client or the group is compromised. 

11. ​​Allergies and Special Dietary Requirements 

​Guests are kindly requested to inform ‘Faraway Lapland Adventures’ of any food allergies or specific dietary requirements at least 14 days before arrival, so that we can adapt the meals accordingly. 
Without prior notice, we cannot guarantee that such needs will be accommodated. 

12. ​Insurance

​‘Lakita AB’ holds professional liability insurance. It is the responsibility of each guest to take out personal insurance covering, in particular, medical expenses, accidents, repatriation, trip cancellation, and interruption. 

13. ​Airport transfer

​Airport transfers are included in the package for Vilhelmina Airport and Hemavan Airport. Flight details must be provided at least 14 days before arrival. In case of changes or delays, ‘Faraway Lapland Adventures’ will do its best to adapt, but cannot guarantee or refund any additional arrangements required. 

14. ​Force majeure

​‘Faraway Lapland Adventures’ and ‘Lakita AB, are not liable in cases of force majeure that prevent the proper execution of the stay, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, epidemics/pandemics, armed conflicts, or any other event beyond its control. 

15. ​Liability disclaimer

​‘Faraway Lapland Adventures’ declines all responsibility for any personal injury, loss, accident or incident occurring during the stay, except in cases of proven gross negligence or misconduct by the organizer. 
The activities offered involve inherent risks due to weather conditions, the natural environment, and the equipment used. Each participant takes part in the activities knowingly and at their own risk. 
Faraway Lapland Adventures cannot be held liable for any consequences resulting from a client's failure to follow safety instructions, unsuitable physical condition, or failure to disclose health issues or allergies. 

​16. Complaints – After-sale

​Any complaint should first be reported on site to ‘’Faraway Lapland Adventures. This allows us to address the issue immediately whenever possible. 
If the matter cannot be resolved directly on site, any further complaint concerning the trip should be reported and substantiated within fifteen (15) days after the return date. The complaint must be sent to Faraway Lapland Adventures by a method that provides proof of receipt, and should include all relevant supporting documents. Complaints can be addressed by registered mail to: Lakita AB – Bäcklunda 110, 923 99 Storuman (SWEDEN). 
This procedure does not affect the client’s statutory consumer rights under Swedish law. 

​17. Governing law

​These terms are governed by Swedish law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will attempt to resolve it amicably. Failing that, only Swedish courts shall have jurisdiction.
